When was the last time you did something for the first time?
The Waterkant exhibition invites you to do exactly that.
When was the last time a robot stroked your hand?
What does the Arctic have to do with your everyday life?
What can you do for our democracy today?
What does life on the streets feel like?
How can materials lighter than a strand of hair move heavy objects – and why is this such a groundbreaking innovation?
You can discover all this – and much more – for yourself.
Across more than 1,000 square metres at the MFG5 site, start-ups, researchers, and creative minds from Schleswig-Holstein are bringing their ideas to life. Not behind glass cases, but through hands-on experiences and interactive exhibits – whether you come with children, with friends, or simply on your own. The topics are as diverse as the visitors themselves: robotics & AI, oceans, democracy, circular economy, housing, education, art, games – all centred around the questions: What comes next? And what remains?
Come along! You do not need any prior knowledge – just curiosity and the courage to try something new.
Your journey into the future can then be rounded off at the neighbouring café with coffee, cake, ice cream, and lemonade – right beside the Kiel Fjord.
