Where better to celebrate Earth Day than in a botanical garden? Through an interactive workshop, participants take part in an inquiry-based exploration and estimate how much energy plants store. Through observation and simple tasks, they discover that plants convert solar energy into chemical energy stored in biomass through photosynthesis, and learn about their key role in sustaining life on Earth.
